Ingredients
basmati rice
1   cup
water
1.5   cup
ghee
1.5   teaspoon
lemon
1/2  
salt
1/2   tablespoon
sugar
1/2   tablespoon
cumin seeds
1   teaspoon
asafetida or hing
1   teaspoon
curry leaves
12-15  
dry red chilies
5-6  
freshly grated coconut
1/2  
cooking oil
3   tablespoon
urad dal
1   tablespoon
lemon juice
1   tablespoon
Instructions

1. Keep ingredients ready. Wash the rice and soak it for 10 minutes.

2. Add salt, sugar, ghee, water and lemon juice to rice and cook for 7-8 minutes with closed lid.

3. Heat oil in pan and cumin seeds, curry leaves ,urad dal ,red chili and asafetida in pan and steer it.

4. Add freshly grated coconut and steer it for one minute. Add rice to it and steer for 2 minutes.

5. Rice is ready to serve.
