Hara pyaz aloo in a tomato gravy, served with chapati(Indian flat bread).

Ingredients
green onions( scallions or spring onions)
250   grams
medium size potato
1  
medium size tomatoes
2  
cumin seeds
1/2   teaspoon
red chili powder
1/4   teaspoon
turmeric powder
1/4   teaspoon
garam masala
1/4   teaspoon
cooking oil
1   tablespoon
salt to taste
 
Instructions

1. Chop green onions and cut potatoes and tomatoes as shown in the picture.

2. Heat oil in a pan on medium to high flame. Once oil is heated, roast cumin seeds in it. Put potatoes in oil and let it cook for 5-7 minutes covered by the lid.

3. Heat oil in another pan on medium flame. Put chopped tomatoes and salt in it and let them cook well. Once tomatoes are cooked well, put red chili powder in it and roast well for 1 minute. Then put turmeric powder and garam masala, roast both well and set aside.

4.  In the same pan, put chopped green onions and let them cook. Once onions are cooked well, put fried potatoes and tomato masala in it. Mix well. Hara pyaz aloo is ready to serve.
