Methi
September 8, 2014
Methi translates to fenugreek. This preparation is one of my grandma's recipes. As winter approaches, so does the flu season. My grandma would prepare this methi drink and said that it is believed to strengthen the immune system against the flu.

Ingredients
methi
1 tablespoon
milk
2 cup
sugar
2 tablespoon
Instructions
1. Soak the methi in water over night. The next morning, grind the methi into a coarse paste using a mortar and pestle.
2. In a vessel keep milk for boiling. To this add the paste.
3. Add sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Drink hot. The preparation is slightly bitter, but is very healthy. You can adjust the sugar based on your taste.
