Chaat is a general term used for Indian street food. Chana chaat is a spicy and tangy Indian snack, made with chick peas.
1. Chick peas come in 3 different colors, green, black and white. You can use any one of your choice. Soak the chick peas overnight in water. Pressure cook with salt till 3 whistles.
2. Once they cool down, drain the chick peas. Add finely chopped onion, tomato and cilantro to the chick peas in a mixing bowl.
3. Next add red chili powder, chaat masala and lemon juice. You can change the proportions as per your taste.
4. Mix well and serve immediately.
