Ingredients
cleaned chicken cut into medium sized pieces
3   pound
cilantro or fresh coriander
1.5   cup
fresh mint
1/2   cup
spinach
4   cup
curd or yogurt
1   cup
salt
1   tablespoon
red chili powder
1   tablespoon
turmeric powder
1/2   tablespoon
jeera or cumin powder
1/4   tablespoon
fennel seed or saunf powder
1/4   tablespoon
garam masala powder
1   tablespoon
coriander powder
1.25   tablespoon
bay leaves
6
star anise
1/2
cinammon stick
1
ginger garlic paste
2   tablespoon
Instructions

1. Make a smooth paste using mint, coriander and spinach leaves, along with curd. Do not add any water, the yogurt and chicken leave water. You can use any green leafy vegetables you want and make it more healthier. It is a great way to get your kids to eat their greens.

2. Place the cleaned chicken in a wide mouthed pan. Add in the ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and fennel seed powder.

3. Next add the green paste. Add bay leaves, star anise and cinnamon stick. You could also add some potatoes if you like.

4. Mix well. Cover and cook on a slow simmer from 30 minutes or till chicken is cooked. Notice that this recipe has no oil and does not require any saute. It is a one pot recipe. Enjoy hot with roti, naan or rice.
