Every Indian loves pakoras. Deep fried gram flour fritters with onions and other spices. They are a perfect snack on a rainy day when served with tea. In Goa these are called Kandhya Bhajji.

Ingredients
gram flour
1/2   cup
rice flour
1/4   cup
chopped onion
1.5   cup
green chilies finely chopped
3  
chopped coriander leaves
1/4   cup
ajwain or carom seeds
1   tablespoon
turmeric
1   teaspoon
chili powder
1/2   teaspoon
oil for frying
1.5   cup
salt
1   teaspoon
Instructions

1. Keep oil for heating. In a mixing bowl, add the rice flour, gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds and salt. Chop the onions, coriander leaves and green chilies.

2. Mix all the above ingredients together with ~3 tablespoons of water. The onion leaves water. Add more or less water until you get the desired consistency. Make a thick paste.

3. Make sure the oil is hot. Take a little bit of the mixer in you hand and drop it in the hot oil.

4. Fry the bhajji till golden brown on both sides. Remove on a paper towel to drain any access oil. Serve with chutney or ketchup and enjoy with hot tea.
