A traditional Goan dish, enjoyed with plain rice. This simple dish is the Goan equivalent of curd rice to Goans.

Ingredients
grated coconut
1   cup
unsweetened kokum syrup
2   tablespoon
kokum skin dried
5-6  
chillies

garlic cloves

fresh coriander leaves

Instructions

1. Grind grated coconut, chilli and garlic together in a mixer and add crushed garlic and chillies. (You can use use coconut milk if no gratedcoconut is available ).

2. Strain the coconut mix in a strainer or a muslin cloth to remove the fiber.

3. Add the kokum syrup to coconut milk. Add salt and coriander. (If no unsweetened kokum syrup, use 5-6 dried kokum skin).

4. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes till its pink and then its ready to serve.
