Ingredients
medium size lotus root
1/3
cumin seeds
1/4   teaspoon
fresh ginger
1/3   teaspoon
red chilli powder
1/4   teaspoon
rice flour
1 1/4   teaspoon
salt
1/4   teaspoon
Instructions

1. Crush peeled lotus root in a mortar and pestle (aukhli) exactly as shown. Don't grind it in a grinder or grate it with grater because this needs to be a little coarse which you won't get in grinder or with grater. Squeeze out the excess water from crushed lotus root.

2. Now add red chilli powder, cumin seeds, rice flour, grated fresh ginger, salt and mix this well. Make small patties with the help of your hand (just take a little of this mixture and press between your palms). Meanwhile heat oil in a pan on medium to high flame.

3. Put patties in hot oil and keep the flame on medium. Once patties are cooked from one side turn to other side and let it cook until brown in color.

4. Nadur Mond is ready to serve.
