Healthy beans and fresh vaal/ lima beans in a mildly spiced yogurt based preparation.

Ingredients
fresh vaal/ lima beans
3   cup
vaal/lima beans soaked overnight
1   tablespoon
oil
1/2   tablespoon
asafetida
1   pinch
curry leaves
8  
salt
1   teaspoon
coriander powder
1   teaspoon
chili powder
1   teaspoon
turmeric powder
1   teaspoon
yogurt
1/2   cup
carrom seeds/ ajwain
1/2   teaspoon
Instructions

1. Soak vaal beans overnight in water.

2. Heat oil in a pan. Once hot add the asafetida, carom seeds and curry leaves.

3. Add turmeric powder, chili powder and coriander powder. Saute for a minute or so.

4. Add in both the fresh and soaked lima beans. Add in the salt.

5. Add curd, stir, cover and let the beans cook.

6. Serve hot with chapati.
